Hutt dilinde “Muhteşem Mücevher” anlamına gelen ve genelde “Nal Hutta” olarak anılan gezegen, Hutt’ ların açgözlü zevk anlayışlarına göre bir cennet sayılmaktadır. Yine de başkalarına göre gezegen canlı bir kâbustur; ziyaret etmek için çok tehlikeli bir yer, yaşanması ise düşünülemez bile. Yeraltı dünyası argosunda gezegenin adı “Hutta” olarak anılmaktadır, gelişmiş toplumlarda yaramazlık yapan çocukların gözünü korkutmak için adı anılan bir gezegen…
Gezegen eskiden; efsanevi açgözlülükleri hakkındaki söylentileri kulak arkası ederek Hutt’ larla geniş çaplı bir işe girme gibi büyük bir hata yapan, nispeten ilkel bir toplum olan yerli Evociiler tarafından yönetiliyordu. Yüzyıllar sonra Evociiler hatalarını çok geç de olsa fark ettiler, ama artık tüm gezegen ipotek altındaydı. Hutt’ ların anavatanı Varl kirli ve yaşanmaz bir gezegen halini alınca Huttlar gezegenin hakimi olarak Evociilerin kendilerine olan borçlarını tahsil ettiler.
Şimdiye kadar geçen binlerce yıl içinde Huttlar tatmin olmaz açgözlülükleriyle gezegeni kirletirken Evociileri kölelik ve sefalet içinde yaşamaya zorladılar. Hutta, galaksi çapında işgören suç kartellerini kontrol eden güçlü Hutt ailelerinin ortaya çıktığı bir gezgen oldu. Yine de kendi aralarındaki ufak kan davaları ve iç çatışmalar onların sayılarının fazla artmasını engelledi. Huttlar; Sith İmparatorluğu ve Cumhuriyet arasındaki uzun savaşta tarafsız kaldılar, gezegenlerini sevdikleri gibi tutarak.
Huttlar, çılgın Hutta toplumunun ve diğer tüm ırkların efendileridir, hatta resmi yabancı elçiler onların şişkin kurdumsu gözlerinde gözden çıkarılabilir birer yem gibidir. En ünlü, yetenekli ödül avcıları bile Hutt’ ların bölgesine girerken tereddüt ederler, zaten aklı başında olan hiçbir canlı Hutta’ya hayati bir ihtiyacı olmadıkça gitmez.

The Hutts set up a colony to trade and exchange with the native Evocii people. They slowly gained power on the planet, expanding their influence by exchanging technology for land.
When the native Hutt world of Varl was destroyed in a cataclysmic event involving both of their suns, they relocated to their new colony on Evocar in 11,347 BTC. The Hutts, who now had control of the entire planet through binding legal contracts with the Evocii, evicted the native population to the fifth moon – now known as Nar Shaddaa. The Hutts finished terraforming the planet into their own version of paradise soon afterward.
The planet now features thick, stagnant marshes and bogs, polluted atmosphere, and sickly flora. Though the perfect home for a Hutt, it is sickly and uncomfortable for any other traveler who would dare venture onto the planet’s surface.
Meanwhile on Nar Shaddaa, the Hutt’s forced slave labor of the Evocii was yielding promising business. After five centuries the moon was completely urbanized, and rivaled Coruscant as the center of trade in the galaxy. The Hutt’s infinite greed and disregard for human life seems to have paid off in the end.
The Hutts have managed to retain their neutrality for the duration of the new Great War being raged between the Sith and the Republic.
